I do apologise to all of you, who have tried to book for next years, May reunion at the Liverpool Adelphi, on the information sent out to you on the yellow flier.
This is what happens when Edward Johnson’s steady hand is not on the tiller and you get Wally and I having a go at it.
You’ve been given a date and a number to ring and the hotel say’s it ‘knows nothing’. Unfortunately this is what happens when you find you’ve been talking to the monkey and not the organ grinder. Well happily all’s well that ends well and the Adelphi as apologised by reducing the price down for our weekend, to one hundred and fifty nine pounds.
The date is the 15th of May until 18th next year. The number to ring is still 0871 222 0029, you then press for option 3 and quote to the operator the reference number V E A D 8509, they will then ask, after you have booked, for your credit card number to confirm your booking. Alternatively you will receive a booking form, requesting a minimum deposit
The deal with the Adelphi five star hotel, is identical, full board, gala dinner etc. Our A.G.M. and ‘Up Spirits’ on Saturday and the coach trip to Southport and the St Helens World of Glass museum on the Sunday, are as quoted in the chairman’s letter. What wasn’t made clear is that the association will cover the cost of the coach, this year. Don’t forget the raffle prizes for our reunion dinner.
