Upon leaving RN in December 1958 Graham joined The British Tabulating Machine Company (also known as HMS Holerith because the company recruited staff from the R.N.) as an Electronic Calculator Engineer based in Southampton. Graham was responsible for an area from Weymouth to Eastbourne and as far north as the Thames.
The company went through various mergers to become International Computers Ltd (ICL). Graham progressed from supporting valve based calculators to transistorised computers.
In 1966 he left ICL and became a computer programmer for the motor group Wadham Stringer based in Waterlooville
In 1969 Graham emigrated to South Africa and worked for ICL (SA) in Cape Town for 2.5 years engaged in designing software for the ICL Bureau.
He returned to England in 1972 to work for ICL in Reading as a Senior Computer Software Designer.
In 1979 Graham worked for 15 months in Saudi Arabia as a Computer Manager.
In 1981 Graham then moved to Cardiff as Steel Works Computer Manager.
In 1986 Graham moved to North London to work for Bankers Automated Clearing Service.
In 1994 Graham moved to Ringwood working for Penny & Giles Avionics as Computer Manager
In 1998 Graham retired from work to concentrate on his hobbies based around genealogy and travel.
